Regional Vice President - Public Sector 
  
Overview 
Edifecs is the leading healthcare data interchange company, currently supporting the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Department of Veterans Affairs, 31 state Medicaid Agencies as well as other county governments and federal agencies.  Edifecs products help government agencies leverage and comply with evolving healthcare data standards to power modernization and transformation and overcome the limitations of core systems.  
 
The Edifecs Public Sector team is looking for a Regional Vice President to manage all states east of the Mississippi and Federal Agencies including HHS, DOL, SSA, and OPM. The successful candidate will take on an existing well managed portfolio of customers and an established pipeline of opportunities. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience building and developing state, federal, and partner relationships and educating public sector customers on the value of standards-based COTS data interchange. If a candidate has experience with Interoperability, Value-Based Care solutions that would be a value-add. The candidate will carry an annual quota and be responsible for account management and growth for new and existing customers within the assigned territory.   
  
What you will do: 
  • Proactively pursue new revenue opportunities from a variety of government agencies and partners in in the defined territory—take on full accountability to develop insight and strategies and execute with grit to exceed annual quotas 
  • Work with other stakeholders at Edifecs to ensure a high degree of collaboration and focus on opportunities and customers 
  • Identify key customer decision-makers and build strong relationships at all levels of client/prospect organizations, identifying business challenges that Edifecs solutions can successfully address 
  • Take on full ownership for complex sales cycles, and direct all aspects of a sales process from initial discovery through contract negotiations and closure 
  • Identify and nurture relationships with industry influencers (consultants, partners, etc.), and new and existing partners 
  • Work closely with client services and product teams to determine customer service requirements and identify new product development opportunities 
  • Maintain strong sales hygiene – updated Salesforce.com records, accurate pipeline forecast, account notes, contacts, etc 
  • Interact directly with the executive team, leveraging knowledge and experience to help Edifecs refine go-to market strategies and build a great organization
     
What you will bring: 
  • 7+ years of experience working in the government contracting space, with direct customer and partner relationships through account management, delivery and/or sales roles 
  • Proven network in the public sector and a track record of successfully building and growing relationships 
  • Expertise in public sector programs, technology and policy the ability to identify how Edifecs’ solutions fit and deliver value 
  • Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal skills with excellent attention to detail 
  • Organized, self-motivated, hard-working problem-solver who is able to work with minimal direction once objectives are clearly stated 
  • Computer skills competency including MS Office suite and Salesforce.com, and strong documentation skills

     
Please note: Note: The expected base pay range for this position is $145,000- $175,000 per year. Base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, and experience. You will also have significant variable compensation subject to performance against the compensation plan for your role.
This is a remote role, preferably located in the eastern half of the united states, with ability to travel to partner and customer facilities and conferences.
