The following position is to join our RTX Corporate team:
The Associate Director, Talent Management will promote RTX’s talent philosophy across the global, highly matrixed enterprise and provide effective talent and career management solutions for over 185,000 employees. This role requires active partnership and collaboration with senior HR and business leaders, the Talent centers of excellence (COE) and business unit (BU) talent teams to implement a comprehensive talent strategy that enables current and future organizational success. The candidate will have direct influence on RTX’s culture of performance excellence by building a strong and diverse talent pipeline that emphasizes continued talent movement, career growth and development.
This position reports directly to the Director, Talent Management and will work closely with peer TD&L Leaders and BU Talent teams in achieving performance and business goals.
What You Will Do
- Drive creation and execution of an integrated Talent Management philosophy and strategy that encompasses a redesigned Talent Management structure and systems.
- Design and execute standardized, end-to-end talent review cycle, including standard suite of talent review assets.
- Oversee Talent Management processes to identify talent development actions, including opportunities to upskill employees and managers in alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor key metrics to assess the success of the talent management systems and talent initiatives in relation to organizational objectives.
- Assemble information and deliver data-driven insights regarding talent management systems effectiveness to key stakeholders.
- Align talent management best practices and performance solutions with business objectives.
- Partner with HR and Talent COE leaders and teams to effectively link talent reviews to career movement, development opportunities and learning enablement.
- Lead strategic initiatives and projects from end-to-end: establishing project teams; setting project milestones; collaborating effectively and successfully managing deliverables.
- Travel up to 20%, or as needed.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Previous exercising HR policies and procedures, including the connections between talent development, performance management, and total rewards.
- Previous experience in analytics with the ability to aggregate and utilize data to influence decisions.
- Project Management experience with a continuous improvement and solution-oriented mindset.
- Experience with collaborating with internal and external stakeholder, building strong partnerships.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Familiarity with Workday functionality.
- Experience generating professional, impactful, and persuasive presentations that effectively communicate to multiple audiences, including executive leaders.
- Strong understanding of HR policies and procedures, including the connections between talent development, performance management, and total rewards.
- Experience applying change management models and leading varying level of transformation/change involving multiple stakeholder groups at an enterprise level.
- Capable of successfully designing, deploying, and managing large-scale talent management initiatives.
- Preferred Certifications: leadership assessments, change management, ICF-certified coach.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to work within a fast-paced, high-growth environment, demonstrating agility and flexibility. Comfortable in ambiguity and managing decision risk.

Minimum Program Qualifications
To qualify for the RTX Re-Empower Program, candidates should:

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
