The Global EHS Senior Manager is responsible for leading Esko’s Global Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability initiatives at all sites and across functions for Esko’s global Software & Hardware business within Veralto.  This is a remote or hybrid position with the office located in Ghent, Belgium. 

This REMOTE job can be done based out of any European county or the USA, but will required travel within Europe.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Provide oversight and leadership across all Esko Global sites in EHS ensuring that Esko meets its EHS & sustainability obligations.
  • Design, develop & implement a comprehensive EHS plan & processes for Esko to support our strategic goals for EHS & sustainability.
  • Provide regulatory support to internal and external customers including proactive engagement with R&D teams to seek innovative solutions to supporting Esko and Esko customers sustainability strategies.
  • Support commercial organization RFP responses in relation to Esko EHS policies and compliance.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce the company’s environment footprint, including waste reduction, energy efficiency and sustainable resource management.
  • Develop and implement emergency response and business continuity plans, ensuring readiness across all global sites.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies, objectives, plans and procedures for Esko compliance programs.
  • Evaluate the regulatory environment providing creative and innovative advice throughout product lifecycle.
  • Owner of Esko Ecovadis survey together with responsible functions to ensure consistent & accurate inputs to support company goals.
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor EHS performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure suppliers & contractors adhere to the company’s EHS standards, minimizing risks associated with third-party operations.
  • Foster a strong safety culture through engaging training programs, leadership coaching and cross functional collaboration across the organization.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience regulatory experience in a growing global technology company, multi-site environment.
  • Experience working across functions, indirect reporting lines, and project management experience.
  • Experience with EHS software systems and data-driven decision making.
  • Certification in EHS is highly desirable.
  • Ability to interface with various levels within the organization.
  • Strong business process orientation and ability to document processes.
  • Continuous process improvement mindset
  • Fluent in English (oral and written), proficiency in other languages is an advantage.
  • Willing to travel globally (up to 15% of time when living in Belgium).
  • You need to be legally allowed to live and work from a European country or USA (>20% travel if living from other country that Belgium). You will be hired in the country of residence, based on local conditions.
