Job Description : 

Allegheny Singer Research Institute seeks a Research Statistician to work in Pittsburgh, PA, and assist research faculty at AHN to design and assess clinical research studies that result in peer reviewed publications and national presentation.  Duties include: 1) assisting research faculty with study design, 2) writing and reviewing statistical analysis plans 3) directing activities of other personnel and providing review of project work of other statisticians 4) assisting with manuscripts and presentations of scholarly work and 5) ensuring that work products meet expectations and are consistent with analysis plans.

This is a hybrid office-based/work-from-home position within the United States. The employee can work remotely from within the United States but must be able to work on-site/in the Pittsburgh office 2 days per week as needed.

Must have a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Statistics or a related field focused on Measurement and Evaluation. Must have 12 months of experience with statistical analysis.

Must also have any experience with or knowledge of: (i) SAS programming; (ii) statistical theory including experimental design, categorical data analysis, analysis of variance (covariance), linear regression, generalized linear mixed model, logistic regression, non-parametric methods, and propensity score matching; and (iii) statistical design, analysis, and programming techniques to effectively communicate statistical concepts.
