About the Position:

TJFACT is seeking to hire a well-versed Jr. Project Manager (Remote) in Washington DC to support the Internal Revenue Service - IRS.

 

Please note that this role is contingent upon award.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the central point of contact for the assigned project.
  • Coordinate the efforts of subcontractors, team members, and other contractors under the direction of the Government Program/Project Manager.
  • Provide oversight and workload management for IT Service Desk assigned contractor resources.
  • Attend meetings and conference calls as necessary.
  • Supervise assigned technical and administrative staff, including subordinate managers.
  • Assign work to other contractors, ensure timely completion, monitor performance, and adjust schedules to meet objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive working environment.
  • Develop and maintain policies, plans, procedures, schedules, guidance material, and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with desktop and laptop computers, applications, and software.
  • Conduct remote installation and support for primary and peripheral computer hardware and software.
  • Apply customer service and support principles to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Utilize problem-resolution databases and perform data analysis to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Provide remote chat service delivery with a strong understanding of equipment configurations and operating systems.
  • Maintain all necessary documentation related to assigned tasks and projects.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and government policies and standards.
  • Provide feedback on knowledge articles and processes in asset management systems.
  • Assure quality of task products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits.
  • Research and verify data in monthly status reports, including balances, costs, and funding.

 

Required Qualification:

  • U.S. citizen
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in relevant project management roles.
  • Proficiency in Aternity software, ServiceNow applications, eGain applications, Bomgar software, Microsoft Office products, and Apple iOS software products.
  • Proficient with laptop and desktop computers, operating systems, and hardware technologies.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting, data analysis, and remote installation of software and hardware.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for customer service delivery.
  • Familiarity with business operations in a service desk environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of systems, training methods, and troubleshooting databases.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from Accredited Institute.
  • Experience exceeding the minimum 6-year requirement, demonstrating leadership and supervisory capabilities.
  • Expertise in managing technical staff and delivering IT service desk solutions.
  • Proven ability to work as a team leader or supervisor, managing workloads and maintaining effective schedules.
  • Knowledge of corporate and government compliance standards, including maintaining accurate documentation and adherence to policies.
  • Participation in policy development, procedural updates, and creating technical documentation.
  • Experience with feedback and improvement of knowledge articles and processes.
