Position Overview:
The Loan Processor is responsible for providing quality customer service by obtaining necessary documentation to underwrite the loan and ordering third party documentation by communicating directly with the customer and/or loan officer. The Loan Processor provides proper disclosures when required by applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Close 15-20 loans a month.
- Manage daily pipeline report from submitted to processing to funding.
- Ensure turn times and metrics are met, established service levels are maintained and customer contacts are logged.
- Direct contact with borrowers is required to gather loan approval conditions and provide detailed updates to real estate agents.
- Gather 90% of conditions without manager involvement.
- Smooth closings: Closing documents are at title 2 business days prior to close date 90% of the time.
- Work with team members to resolve issues on files as they arise.
- Act as a liaison between the Processing and Sales, Underwriting and Closing teams to provide exceptional internal and external customer service.
- Ensure loans meet all compliance guidelines, including re-disclosure for RESPA change of circumstance.
- Participate in our current client referral program.
- Potential to prepare and send Closing Disclosures and the ability to explain in detail to borrowers how the Closing Disclosure reads.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 3-year mortgage loan processing experience required.
- Proficient with standard software such as Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Experience with Loan Origination Software, LP and DU Systems, FHA Connection, VA Portal and USDA.
- Experience with multiple mortgage investors including but not limited to: FNMA, FHLMC, VA, non-agency and non-QM
- Effective oral and written communication skills to work with Internal staff, clients, Management and vendors.
- Exemplary customer service skills.
- Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly in fast-paced high work volume environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with all employees.
- Flexibility to help assist with new tasks and office changes.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi- task and prioritize work.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and successfully pass a background check.
Pay Range:
- Base Pay: $20 - $24/hour
- Bonus: $100/file
- The posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
