Job description

Role Overview:

PIC, a Genus PLC company, has an exciting opportunity. We are looking for a Global Supply Chain Logistics Planner. This role is responsible for coordinating and executing all swine shipments from PIC North America’s contracted and owned farm network to our customer base across North America and the globe.

 

The position can be remote based in the United States

You Will:

 

  • Operate independently and as part of a broader team, as needed or assigned, to execute global dissemination projects (export shipments)
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to owned and contract farms, health team personnel, supply chain managers, and logistics planning to organize and execute projects as assigned
  • Monitor and communicate to ensure effective risk mitigation, timely escalations of challenges or concerns, and continuous collaborative improvement
  • Communicate routinely with internal partners and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations throughout the supply and customer network within North America and globally
  • Possess the ability to be flexible with travel to meet business needs and schedules for on-farm activities, cross-border shipments, or on-site execution of projects as needed
  • Evaluate shipment documentation details for accuracy and ensure compliance with government regulations and PIC operational policies
Requirements:

 

 

  • A relevant university degree or 2 years of equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of two years of experience in swine related operations
  • Proven experience in improving job processes and efficiencies with innovation and creativity
  • Must be a customer-focused team player with problem solving abilities, and openness to being cross-trained in related areas dependent upon business needs
  • Proven ability to work in and maintain performance expectations in diverse cultural contexts and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Extremely adaptable and able to effectively service all types of customers and personalities.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems in an empowered, self-directed/managed work environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications or ERP Systems
