Job description

Frontera Health is revolutionizing pediatric healthcare by developing a cutting-edge, tech-enabled platform that delivers essential therapies to rural families. Our platform leverages AI/ML to create a robust video-based data model for early intervention and developmental disorders. By collaborating closely with parents, caregivers, and clinical partners, we’re bridging the gap in access to care, improving health equity, and providing personalized treatment plans. Backed by leading investors like Lightspeed and Lux, Frontera Health is poised for rapid growth.

Our ABA direct services are designed to meet the unique needs of children in underserved communities, providing them with the support and resources they require to reach their full potential. We are passionate about ensuring that every child, regardless of their location or socioeconomic status, has access to high-quality healthcare. By leveraging our technology platform and partnering with local providers, we are able to deliver effective ABA therapy to families who may otherwise have limited access to these essential services.

The Role:

As a pediatric psychologist, you will play a critical role in conducting comprehensive behavioral health and educational evaluations for children and adolescents in school-based settings. You will be responsible for supporting students by identifying their unique needs and collaborating with educational teams to enhance learning environments.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents in schools, addressing behavioral, emotional, and learning-related concerns.
  • Complete evaluations using our clinical tools, that act as your co-pilot in completing reports with greater efficiency and detail.
  • Act as a clinical product advisor to our product team; providing feedback to continuously improve our tools and help shape our roadmap for future tools.
  • Utilize evidence-based assessments and best practices to diagnose a wide range of pediatric behavioral health conditions.
  • Write clear, defensible psychological reports with actionable recommendations tailored to the school and family context.
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and other healthcare professionals to create effective intervention plans that support students' success.
  • Stay current on best practices in pediatric behavioral health assessment and interventions, including compliance with PSYPACT regulations for telehealth services.
  • Participate in school meetings and provide psychoeducational insights to educators and administrators as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records in accordance with HIPAA and school district confidentiality standards.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychology with a specialization in Pediatric or Child Psychology.
  • Must be a licensed Psychologist in good standing.
  • Active member of PSYPACT (Psychologists Interjurisdictional Compact) enabling telehealth evaluations across state lines.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience conducting diagnostic evaluations for children, preferably in educational settings.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based assessment tools for pediatric behavioral, emotional, and learning conditions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with electronic recordkeeping systems (e.g., EHR) is a plus.
  • Commitment to cultural competency and delivering family-centered, inclusive services.
