Provide proactive service to existing accounts as part of the customer retention strategy. Exercise a broad knowledge of the organization's services and products while operating in a team selling environment with regional Account Executives.
Make proactive service calls in person or via telephone on existing accounts ensuring that yearly sales call targets are met
Formulate and implement business plans specific to the needs of individual accounts, addressing any current or outstanding administrative client issues (such as membership, literature needs, billing, etc)
Identify new and ancillary product sales opportunities and work with appropriate Account Executive in a team selling environment
Represent the company at benefit and enrollment fairs as requested by client or sales management
Cultivate and develop strong business relationships with key client decision-makers and other group contacts
Maintain current working knowledge of existing and new products/services and other general information to ensure accurate information is provided to clients
Complete all administrative assignments in a timely manner, including weekly activity reports, expense reports, and annual sales plan
Utilize sales automation system to make inquiries, maintain current client records and comments, and prepare reports
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience
Three years experience servicing customers and managing accounts, preferably in the employee benefits or Healthcare/Insurance industry, with established broker relationships
Demonstrated track record in meeting sales and servicing goals with responsibility for servicing large numbers of accounts both in person and via telephone
Knowledge of underwriting, products, services and healthcare industry
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven presentation skills
Excellent organizational skills
Working knowledge word processing and spreadsheet applications
Ability to travel locally via car up to 70% of the time
Clean DMV record

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Salary Ranges: $47,500.00 - $77,375.00
