Job description

The Job

The Data & Analytics team is at the core of our mission to become a data-driven organization. By delivering scalable solutions and fostering collaboration, we ensure that data flows seamlessly across the company, empowering teams to make informed decisions. With an ever-growing volume of data and increasing complexity, having the right infrastructure is critical. That’s where the Data Engineer comes in—a pivotal role in building and maintaining the foundation of our data ecosystem.

To Support Our Goals:
State-of-the-art architecture: We design scalable and innovative solutions to ensure sustainable growth.
Dynamic approach: With nothing set in stone, we embrace flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving business needs.
Holistic business scope: We maintain a comprehensive view of the organization, avoiding siloed operations to ensure alignment across teams.

As our Data Engineer, you play a crucial role in ensuring that data from various sources is ingested, processed, and structured efficiently. Your work lays the groundwork for Analytics Engineers, Analytics Consultants, and Data Analysts to extract meaningful insights and drive business decisions. By designing robust pipelines and managing high-quality data products, you enable the entire organization to operate with confidence in the accuracy and accessibility of its data.

Your Mission

  • Data Ingestion: Build and maintain scalable processes for ingesting large volumes of data from diverse sources. Minimize manual coding by using metadata-driven approaches to enhance efficiency.
  • Data Processing: Develop and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to transform raw data into clean, enriched, and structured formats, ready for analysis or integration into other systems.
  • Metadata Management: Capture and manage metadata effectively, ensuring clarity on data lineage, quality, and context for all stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with Analytics Engineers and Integration team to deliver clean and structured data that supports both analytics and data integration use cases.
  • Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance and reliability of data pipelines, ensuring that data is available promptly and without disruptions.

Your Talent

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in data engineering, analytics, or a related role.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent skills in stakeholder management, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Cloud Expertise: Experience in creating robust and stable data solutions, pipelines, and data products within a major cloud provider (preferably Azure).
  • Technical Skills: Solid experience with data engineering technologies, such as: - Databricks - Azure Synapse Analytics / Azure Data Factory - Infrastructure as Code (BICEP, Terraform)
  • Programming Languages: Strong knowledge of data engineering languages, particularly Python, with a focus on PySpark for big data processing.
  • We're looking for someone who shares our passion for making sense of data and can help us succeed as a data-driven company
