Cinder is seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to join our team. We’re building an enterprise-grade platform to make the internet safer and we need highly curious, hard-working self-starters.

We operate as a fully remote company with teammates in NY, DC, London, Austin, and SF, among other cities. We also believe in the value of frequent in-person meet-ups and learning face to face. We offer health, vision & dental benefits and a 401(k) plan with employer matching.

This role will operate primarily in US Eastern time zone.

What you’ll do

Solutions engineers at Cinder work directly with customers to quickly understand their greatest problems and design and implement technical solutions. In this role, you’ll apply your problem solving ability, creativity, and technical skills to help organizations use their data to drive a real impact in internet safety.

Concretely, you will:

1. Work directly with current customers to solve their safety problems with technical and strategic solutions

2. Develop and execute a highly consultative demo process to help Cinder prospects learn about our platform in a manner tailored to their organizations

3. Serve as the subject matter expert on Cinder’s platform and Trust and Safety practices for a variety of external parties

4. Streamline and assist with the technical onboarding and integration processes for customers

5. Collaborate with customers and prospects to design suitable architectures for seamless integration

6. Create substantive resources on the Trust & Safety market and Cinder product that can be used with both internal and external stakeholders as we grow

7. Address technical challenges that require solving (bugs, missing feature, last mile-development, etc) or collaborate with our engineering and product teams to efficiently hand off projects.

8. Help drive technical qualification of prospects

9. Streamline documentation and other processes to improve the efficiency of the Solutions Engineering organization

About You

1. Experience as a software engineer, solutions engineer, sales engineer (or any other relevant title) in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

2. You have a strong understanding of safety engineering and/or safety operations via firsthand experience in the space.

3. Alternatively, you have successfully been an early sales engineer, or similar title, at a high growth SaaS company selling a technical product to large enterprise customers

4. Experience with pre-sales activities, including delivering technical demos, understanding customer requirements, proof of concept/pilot program development, and collaborating with GTM teams to drive successful outcomes.

5. Ability to collaborate effectively with enterprise-level customers and navigate complex organizational structures.

6. Comfort with ambiguity and an ability to take initiative.

7. You are a great team player who deeply values the power of working together

1. You have been a product owner or engineer within a Trust & Safety, Integrity, or Fraud organization

2. The more comfortable you are with enterprise data architecture and artificial intelligence, the better
