Job description

Position Overview

RecruitGo is in search of a QA Engineer, who will be working with our client based in the US. Our client is in the (IT/ Software industry). In this role, you are responsible for establishing and leading QA Team Implementation, developing and maintaining QA processes, creating and executing test plans, managing automated testing tools, collaborating with development teams, and integrating QA into the CI/CD pipeline. Continuous improvement of QA processes and detailed reporting on QA activities are also key responsibilities.

Aside from your established skills and expertise, we are also looking for someone who is a strong leader who can inspire and guide a team, manage expectations, and ensure alignment with the client. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment and has proven experience in establishing and managing QA teams, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Establish QA Team: Build and manage a high-performing QA team from the ground up.
  • Develop QA Processes: Create, implement, and maintain QA processes and procedures.
  • Test Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive test plans, and test cases, and execute tests to ensure the quality of our products.
  • Automation: Implement and manage automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to integrate QA processes into the development lifecycle.
  • Reporting: Provide detailed reports on QA activities, test results, and quality metrics.
  • CI/CD Pipeline: Implement and manage QA testing within a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve QA processes and efficiency.

Management Skills:

  • Leadership: Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and guide a team.
  • Communication: Effectively manage expectations, communicate expectations to the development team, and ensure alignment between the team and the company.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a growing company where things are dynamic, evolving, and more loosely
  • defined rather than a mature environment that is static and highly standardized.

Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience combined with strong certifications.
  • 5 or more years of experience in QA engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in establishing and managing QA teams.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired:

  • Experience working in the retail industry or with POS systems.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
  • QA Engineering: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Leadership: 2 years (Preferred)
