Job Summary
As a Senior Human Resources Generalist at KBR, you will leverage your business knowledge and HR expertise to support general administration and operations. You will provide comprehensive HR support and guidance to the HR Management team and program employees, playing a pivotal role in the organization. Your responsibilities will include offering guidance on the full life cycle of Human Resources Administration and Staffing, ensuring best practices, and facilitating positive relationships between personnel and senior management. You will perform assignments that require experience and knowledge of standard HR concepts, analyze possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills, and work both independently and as part of a team. Additionally, you will utilize your excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) to disseminate information at all levels and demonstrate strong empathy and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment. You will solve complex problems through resourceful and creative thinking, maintain a high level of detail orientation, and exhibit excellent organizational skills. Furthermore, you will review policies and practices to ensure compliance.
THIS POSITION IS REMOTE / TELECOMMUTE - within the Continental U.S.
THIS POSITION REQUIRES 25-40% CONUS / OCONUS TRAVEL.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist with employee relations, benefit inquiries, pay, and other human resources issues.
- Develop, implement and administer human resources programs, policies, processes, and procedures designed to attract, retain, and reward employees globally in alignment with our overall business strategy.
- Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Partner with leadership to address project needs.
- Handle international onboarding and support international employees while observing and adhering to local labor laws.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Develop weekly HR reports (HR program status, Staffing Level, ER Status) providing critical analysis to identify concerns.
- Provide ongoing Supervisor Training (Progressive Discipline, Leave Management, Conflict Management, etc.).
- Complete and submit PTFs (Personnel Transaction Forms) for approval and processing.
- Travel approximately 25-40% of the time, often to austere locations, for up to 120 days.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a Secret Security clearance and maintain it for the duration of your employment on this contract. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen to be eligible for this position.
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years of relevant Human Resources experience.
- Must have Employee Relations experience.
- Must be capable of clearing medical requirements for multiple OCONUS contracts.
- Must be able to travel for up to 120 days with only 7 days lead time.
- Requires a willingness and the ability to work in austere locations for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to travel an estimated 25-40% of the time.
- Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Active U.S. Government issued Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience with the Workday Applicant Tracking System (ATS) strongly preferred.
