The Data Analyst, Data & Analytics will be a key TSP Data Strategy and Analytics team member. The incumbent will be responsible for helping drive the successful execution of the TSP Data Strategy to enable the organization to make better decisions thru clean, consistent, and understandable data.
This position is remote anywhere within the US and Canada.
They will be working on various aspects of data projects and business projects that have a data component. This role documents, designs, delivers and maintains complex data analytics solutions. This is to be accomplished by adhering to TSP data architecture governance and standards to ensure a high-quality analysis is maintained throughout. The incumbent will constantly update the practices to enhance the evolution of our data ecosystem.
This position will work directly with Operations and Supply Chain groups. They will be supporting several different teams such as Project Management, Customer Service, Manufacturing and Installations.
Reporting
This position will be reporting to the Director, Data Analytics and Integrations.
Key Functions
- Act as an SME on the data needs across multiple business teams (Supply Chain, Operations, Project Management)
- Support the transition of Domo reporting assets into Power BI
- Develop data insight solutions that help the business determine the next course of action
- Produce standard daily/weekly/monthly reports on KPIs and metrics
- Generate customized analysis and reporting, examining the effectiveness of TSP
- Work with other data professionals to define and enhance the data layer (Lake, DWH)
- Act as a liaison between business and technical audiences
- Active member in the process improvements for the Data Analytics team at TSP
- Define and document data dependencies and data flow diagrams of the solution developed
Qualifications
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in rapidly changing environments
- 3 years of experience working with Power BI as an Analyst Professional.
- Experience with other visualization tools like Domo, Tableau or Looker
- 2+ Years of Experience with Excel at the advanced level, and some familiarity with power query. Examples are Vlookup, Index+Match, Sumifs, Conditional Logic, and Data cleaning
- 5 years of experience in a data-related role in a large company
- 2 years of experience gathering requirements from business stakeholders
- Expert knowledge in SQL to gather, clean, and analyze data
- Knowledge of SQL Server and Snowflake is preferred
