Technical Support Specialist

CHC Helicopters Services are hiring for Aviation Technical Support Specialist to support the Maintenance Support Centre (MSC) in our operations in Rzeszow, Poland. This role will have the primary function of providing technical, engineering, HUMS support and review in direct support of CHC Helicopter Services Worldwide Maintenance Operations. The MSC operates 24/7/365 for global fleet support.

 

The Aviation Technical Support Engineer (TSE) will act as part of the Maintenance Support Centre (MSC) team who are accountable for the identification, provision and communication of technical and engineering support services to all CHC Helicopter Services (HS) Maintenance Operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify safe, approved, and effective solutions to aviation technical support requests from Line Maintenance.
  • Liaise with maintenance and flight operations as required to provide effective and expedient solutions to return AOG aircraft to service.
  • Communicate with OEM’s, vendors and internal technical expertise in order to acquire approved maintenance and/or repair data.
  • Offer troubleshooting advice to maintenance crews by reference to related publications and/or historical data, both internal and external as required.
  • Carry out necessary technical office administration as required.
  • Monitor CHC HS aircraft technical status system and provide status reports as necessary.
  • Maintain an ongoing professional working relationship with all elements of the CHC HS worldwide maintenance operation and other external/internal organizations.
  • Play a key role in CHC’s ability to set the standard for safety, helping to maintain our position as a world leader.
  • Along with other elements of the MSC, coordinate all technical aspects of AOG recovery whilst ensuring maximum leverage and efficiency.
  • International travel may be, infrequently, required.
  • Plus may perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:
  • Hands on mechanic/engineering experience in rotary wing or fixed wing operations, and/or AME/ LAME (Aircraft maintenance engineer / mechanic / technician) in civil or military environment is beneficial.
  • Technical Diploma or equivalent experience and endorsement with a formal aviation maintenance qualification.
  • Relevant experience in the Aviation Industry and in an Aviation Technical Support Engineer.
  • Preferred exposure to one or more of the following; S92, AS332 series, AW139, AW189 A/C, H175 and EC225.
  • Good customer service skills and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Excel and experience with electronic maintenance documentation systems.
  • Demonstrated team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly evolving and dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated and results oriented with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written English communication (min. B2).
  • Excellent collaborative problem solving skills with an ability to implement solutions.
  • You must have the legal right to live and work in Poland, this is not a remote role.
  • Willingness to work in shifts (12-hour shifts 24/7 - 5 days of work x 12 hours, 5 days off, 5 nights of work x 12 hours, 5 days off; work during night shifts/ can be performed remotely from home).
