Job description

For over 15 years, TRIGO ADR  has remained the industry leader with a “boots on the ground” approach to drive systematic changes that improve quality while sustaining on-time delivery performance.  Working as an extension of its customers, TRIGO’ ADR's unique, Fully Integrated Service Solution offers Supplier Management, Supplier Development, and Quality Management Services throughout the Commercial & Defense Aerospace Industries. Currently, TRIGO ADR is providing support to the largest Primes, Tier-1s, and Tier 2s while expanding its service portfolio to include quality management services since the acquisition by TRIGO GROUP, INC. in January 2019.

Under general supervision and reporting to the VP of Operations, the Director of Operations, serves as a vital link between TRIGO ADR field resources and our Prime Aerospace and Defense Customers, and their Suppliers. Applicants must have solid Aerospace, Operations, Program Management and Manufacturing and/or Quality experience with well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong relationships. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to be flexible in high pressure situations. Maintains an emphasis on voice of the Customer (VOC) in terms of quality, cost, service delivery, and new service requirements. Liaise between the Customer and internal functional teams to ensure implementation of TRIGO ADR service solutions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - Essential functions are the basic job duties that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Oversee and lead assigned contracts for successful execution of operational plans 
  • Establish and maintain strong, effective working relationships with Customers and Suppliers; develop a thorough understanding of their objectives 
  • Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending/implementing solutions for improvement as necessary 
  • Deploy the necessary team to a wide range of commodity suppliers throughout the US and International 
  • Participate in Business Development opportunities, including presentations, RFP responses and contract development 
  • Oversee team adherence to key performance objectives to ensure customer expectations are met 
  • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for key initiatives 
  • Plan and manage operational process for maximum efficiency and productivity 
  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of Metric/Program Reviews 
  • Monitor workloads to optimize team efficiency and maximize contract performance 
  • Streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands 
  • Develop innovative solutions/processes for increased productivity 
  • Conduct final new candidate interviews and provide hiring recommendations 
  • Coach, mentor and discipline team for improved performance and development  
  • Collaborate with executive-level management in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans 
  • Leverage TRIGO ADR data management to demonstrate opportunities for Customers to utilize TRIGO ADR resources. 
  • Maintain current knowledge of aerospace industry and dynamics to leverage new business opportunities 
  • Partnering with Human Resources to ensure compliance with local, federal, and international regulations, accreditation standards and corporate policies to drive effectiveness and consistency in operations 
  • Performs other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of:

  • Aerospace, Defense and Manufacturing Operations 
  • Multiple operational functions and principles, including Finance, Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Employee Management 
  • Specific knowledge of Mfg. operations and Quality processes 
  • Root cause corrective action analysis, FMEA, Statistical Process Control, etc. 
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Power BI) 
  • Project Management software/process

Skills: 

  • Work at all levels of Customer organization; extremely eager and proactive in responding to customer needs. 
  • Strong independent decision-making skills; excellent analytical skills and professional judgment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or Technical discipline; MBA desirable; minimum 10 years of Manufacturing/Operations/Program Management/Quality experience required 
  • Aerospace experience required 
  • Supply chain management experience required 
  • Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action experience 
  • Expertise in Quality Management Systems with preferred qualifications in: ASQ, Six Sigma (Black Belt) 
  • Business and Financial acumen to support business case development and analysis. 
  • Any combination of education and experience may be considered.
