How we LEAD:
The Director, Data Privacy Operations leads the newly formed Privacy Operations team reporting into UMG’s Enterprise Data Governance Head. This individual will develop and oversee the day-to-day Privacy operations and governance processes working in close collaboration with UMG’s Global Privacy Office. The Director also oversees the deployment and operations of UMG’s new Consent Management Platform, which is being rolled out globally across all of UMG’s Artist Web Sites, Stores and Apps. The Director serves as the primary coordinator and collaborator between UMG’s Direct-to-Fan business teams, Global Privacy, Global Data Security and Global Tech on new D2C initiatives, new fan data sources and issue resolution.
How you’ll CREATE:
- Work with Global Privacy to ensure the correct Privacy Policy is displayed by the Consent Management Platform (CMP) depending on Territory, Purpose etc. as new sites/stores/apps are rolled out or legal disclosure requirements change.
- Work with Tech as required to ensure Privacy Policies and disclosures are correctly served to fans given technical or formatting requirement specific to an Artist/Territory/Brand site technology.
- Work with Global Privacy on global execution/coordination of DSAR requests and support provision of records of consent and other relevant records as required by Global Privacy, Legal etc.
- Maintenance of UMG’s DSAR automations and CMP integrations as UMG’s Global Fan Data and eCommerce platforms are developed.
- Based on Global Privacy guidance, oversee updates to the CMP with allowable cookies and their category OR works with teams to address risk concerns raised by GP.
- Collaborate with Business Teams, Global Privacy and Tech as new Fan Data and Platforms are onboarded.
- Guide Business and tech teams at a tactical level to assess, document and, where needed, update CMP on new data, data uses, new platforms, apps etc.
Bring your VIBE:
- Minimum 5 years working in Privacy for global, complex direct-to-consumer organizations. Data Governance work experience is desirable.
- Must have hands-on experience implementing and operating Enterprise, integrated Consent Management and Governance Platforms such as Transcend.io, OneTrust or similar.
- Must have a track record of successful collaboration across functions, territories in a very dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Privacy Certifications (CIPP, CIPM or equivalent) or equivalent work experience is required.
