As the Senior Statistician with Numerator Surveys, you’ll play a critical role in applying analytic methodologies to problem-solving across all areas of survey research. You’ll develop best-practice approaches to survey research across the entire business. You’ll discuss analytic methodologies and approaches necessary to solve specific business issues, both internally and directly with clients. Working with the survey research team, you’ll shape and manage project design, develop statements of work that are consistent with the scope, price, capabilities and timeliness, and lead/assist the team in effectively delivering multiple projects across multiple timelines, including running the required analytics.

How You'll Spend Your Time:

  • Define and implement a best practices approach to sampling, including how to select representative samples, appropriate balancing criteria, when to weight results, etc.
  • Support analytic research needs by employing methods including but not limited to: consumer segmentations, discrete choice modeling, MaxDiff, regressions, statistical visual methods such as correspondence analysis and multidimensional scaling
  • Provide consultation, planning and best practices execution on the above both with the research team and clients directly
  • Collaboratively finalize designs for our most common research types
  • Support our sales team by recommending analytic approaches for proposals and fabricate material for RFP’s
  • By keeping a pulse on the work being done by the research team, develop and test new methodologies that can eventually be productized
  • Prepare, clean, impute, and restructure data using available data management tools
  • Translate multivariate analysis into client-friendly conclusions and recommendations

What You'll Bring to Numerator

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Market Research, is preferred but not required.
  • 10 years of experience in applying analytical methodologies to quantitative research.
  • Solid understanding of statistical theory and proven experience employing methods including regression, discrete choice, segmentation, perceptual mapping, etc.
  • Mastery of programming languages and environments for statistical programming, including R
  • Demonstrate a mentoring mindset and the ability to collaborate closely with internal teams and clients, supporting those with varying levels of subject matter expertise.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Entrepreneurial focus to thrive within our growth-oriented environment, with a client orientation that contributes to our ability to act as a trusted advisor
  • Ability to think strategically about client business issues and design research to address them
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a dispersed team environment
