Job Summary::
Diné Development Corporation (DDC) is seeking a Senior Proposal Writer to join our team! As the Senior Proposal Writer, you will be a key member of the Writing/Editing Team and Proposal Operations Team, responsible for writing and editing compliant and compelling content for the Management, Technical, Past Performance, and Resume volumes of Federal Government proposals. You will work collaboratively with the Proposal Writing Lead, Editor, Proposal Managers, Technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Capture staff to ensure the successful creation and submission of high-quality proposals. This role demands exceptional writing and content assembly skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: :
- At the direction of the Writing/Editing Lead, work in unison with Proposal Managers to accomplish the full-scope of content development tasks, which includes but is not limited to:
o Assisting with the creation and development of compliant annotated outlines and solution worksheets;
o Identifying, assembling, and tailoring reusable content to baseline, supplement, and enhance proposal responses;
o Addressing comments and recovering content after each color team review; and
o Providing constructive revisions and guidance throughout all content development tasks. - Develop and write persuasive and compelling original response content according to established standards for quality and completeness and revises existing, team-based content for conciseness, readability, and compliance.
- Use and apply DDC writing styles and templates while incorporating and enforcing DDC writing and editing best practices, processes, and standards.
- Gather technical/solution-based content from SMEs and revises for compliance and readability.
- Gather proposal themes and discriminators from Capture staff and revises for alignment and impact.
- Provide reusable content and past performance content development for inclusion in the proposal content library and past performance database.
- Other duties assigned.
Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience)::
- At least 10 years’ experience writing and editing Technical, Management, Past Performance, and Resume volumes for large and mid-sized federal IDIQs and task orders.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills, which includes an acute sense of professional accountability to individual members of the team as well as the team as a whole.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple proposals at once and provide varying levels of content development.
- Experience with the application and use of Shipley best practices and the Government Printing Office Style.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS Teams, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Familiar with standard IT terminology, which includes industry-leading services and solutions.
- Must be able to pass a standard background check.
