About the Team
The Program Management team sits within the Insights division of BlueLabs. Team members manage the processes that facilitate day-to-day execution of data and analysis deliverables across client sectors, providing strategic program guidance, and collaborate closely with client and technical teams.
About the Role
The Research Project Manager will play a central role coordinating, implementing, and managing processes and research efforts across teams at BlueLabs. They will streamline workflows, track project milestones, and oversee the execution of public opinion surveys as well data science and analytics deliverables for multiple clients between political, advocacy, and commercial sectors. The role will develop a deep understanding of business and client needs and develop solid relationships with key stakeholders across internal teams to provide effective operational support for programmatic execution. This role will also require strong program management skills, technical understanding of research methods, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholder and client teams to ensure that projects meet ambitious deadlines and drive impactful results. The Research Project Manager will report to the Associate Director of Program Management.
In this position you will:
- Manage and coordinate large-scale survey research and analytics programs, ensuring projects are executed effectively and on time.
- Drive collaboration between data science, polling, and analytics teams, aligning efforts to deliver satisfactory results to clients and act as the communication bridge between BlueLabs’ data scientists, pollsters, and analyst teams to ensure smooth and rapid execution of research initiatives.
- Lead and/or manage coordination with clients, ensuring effective and timely support and communication.
- Facilitate team collaboration using a suite of tools such as Asana, GitHub, G Suite, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
What we are seeking:
- Expertise in designing and/or implementing project management processes, with a background in project management or research program operations
- Proven ability to manage and deliver complex technical projects on time and within scope
- Background in or advanced degree in Statistics or related fields, or demonstrated experience working directly on and/or supporting data science or research teams
- Exceptional time management and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficient with computer technology, project management software (Asana, Jira, etc), Google applications (Spreadsheets, Drive, Docs, etc), Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc)
- Comfortable working independently, managing multiple tasks, and highly organized
- Team player with a problem solving attitude
What recruitment looks like:
We strive to hire efficiently and transparently. We expect to onboard this position in January 2024. To get there, we anticipate the successful candidate will complete three interviews (HR 15 minutes, hiring manager 45 minutes, and team interview 60 minutes), all virtually, as well as a technical skills assessment.
