Summarized Purpose:

We are currently looking for an Associate Director Project Management PMO who will work closely with leadership teams, provide guidance related to the selection, prioritization and delivery of strategic business initiatives. They will at as an experienced leader, developing and structuring governance standards, ensuring the successful delivery of large cross functional initiatives. Provides oversight and strategic direction to allocated project team members to ensure quality and timely delivery of project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Keeps executive management informed of project budget, activities, status, accomplishments and needs.
  • Works with internal customers and leadership to ensure business requirements are met.
  • Partners with the organization to build business cases for strategic initiatives.
  • Assists with development of business roadmaps to support the organizational future state and alignment to department and company goals.
  • Represents the business on large scale initiatives and governance teams, when applicable.
  • Ensures risks/issues are surfaced and mitigated, escalates information and recommends issue resolution as appropriate.
  • Partners with other functional areas to ensure consistent and optimized approach to systems and governance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Min. 3-5 years of experience in Transformational Project Management, related to significant restructures, acquisitions, implementation of integrations etc.
  • Detailed knowledge of the key principles of cross functional project management (Time, Quality, Cost)
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Familiar with formal change management processes and methods (Prosci or similar approach)
  • Skilled in process improvement and strategic development, especially as it applies to clinical trials, clinical development and project management
  • Referenceable customer service and relationship building skills. Ability to provide strategic input into customer management in a complex environment
  • Excellent negotiation and marketing skills.
  • Influences internal and external customers and achieve results.
  • Decision making, issue and risk management skills
  • Solution oriented with ability to drive innovation
  • Comprehensive coaching skills with a track record in having challenging conversations
  • Ability to identify and develop solutions to resolve training gaps for soft skill and technical development
  • Excellent performance stewardship with the ability to drive performance through metrics
  • Superior judgment, decision making and problem-solving skills and ability to apply critical and analytical strategic thinking skills to drive development and retention of top performers
  • Known for leadership as a change champion
  • Ability to collaborate and develop accountability and excellence in a learning environment
  • Strong negotiation skills with ability to influence others and drive results
