ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Australia Tax Manager will be a valued member of the APAC Finance team, reporting directly to the APAC Tax Senior Director. You will work closely with both the APAC Finance and Global Tax teams, ensuring a collaborative and supportive approach. This role is key to managing all tax-related matters for Fluence Australia, while providing vital support to the APAC tax functions for regional projects and initiatives as directed by the Senior Tax Director - APAC.
We are seeking a compassionate and driven tax professional with extensive knowledge and experience in Australian taxation. As the Australia Tax Manager, you will take ownership of the following key areas:
Overview of the OpportunityTax Compliance – Lead the completion of Australia tax compliance (direct, indirect, transfer pricing) while offering thoughtful support for other tax compliance needs within APAC as required, ensuring collaboration and efficiency.Tax Advocacy – Manage tax reviews and assessments by the Australian Tax Office, including tax cases filed in courts, while maintaining a focus on open communication and constructive resolutions.Tax Risk Management – Lead efforts to manage tax risks and identify opportunities for Fluence in Australia. This includes fostering a culture of tax awareness, advocating for continuous improvements to internal controls over tax-impacting processes, and providing timely, well-considered tax advice on an ad-hoc basis.Other Regional Tax Support – Provide valuable support to APAC tax functions on all tax-related matters for regional projects and initiatives.
