SALES ENGINEER – UK- Remote/WFH


Maternity cover - the contract will be limited to 12 months with the potential option to become unlimited after 12 months

 


The Sales Engineer position is a technical, consultative solution selling role that will assist our UK sales organisation in driving sales within the region. In addition, this role will accelerate the sales cycle by conducting engagement with our current and potential customers to help by assisting in technical requirement analysis and by participating in the success of the customer’s proof of concept pilot of our solution. This is a hands-on customer-facing role with customers.




Key Responsibilities:


The Sales Engineer will be responsible for helping to drive sales of the Blancco software solution set. They will work closely with the UK Sales team and be responsible for building and nurturing technical customer relationships that will help drive new revenue in the EMEA. The ideal candidate will be able to provide a technical consultative selling approach to our customers.

 



Responsibilities include, but not limited to:


  • Demonstrate Blancco Products to prospects, channel partners and existing customers.
  • Engage, deliver, and prove the technical capabilities of Blancco products by devising a clear end-to-end process (ex: Technical proof-of-concepts, technical evaluations, etc.)
  • Provide technical support to customers during the sales process.
  • When necessary, work cross-functionally with different teams in assessing the potential application of Blancco products and solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Co-ordinate with internal product specialists and communicate with all internal departments as needed.
  • Work with customers in complex business environments to devise new and innovative solutions to address business challenges.
  • Understand customer needs, pain-points of their current process and provide suitable solutions.
  • Capturing customer feedback, and requirements, and work closely with required internal teams to weave them into the product roadmap.
  • Must be willing to travel regularly(up to 35% a month) as needed to meet new and existing customers and partners.
  • Attend virtual and onsite customer meetings to conduct product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and technical discussions as and when required.

 



Required Experience:


  • Proven sales engineering, customer success or support experience
  • Ability to understand business problems, think of solutions and effectively communicate the same.
  • Basic Sales experience (Experience in presenting software solutions with focus on technical sales)
  • Strong technical competency and strong communication skills with regard to discussing product capabilities and applications with technical users/buyers
  • Basic Technical Skills: Networking concepts, Cloud Computing concepts, Operating Systems (Linux and Windows), Database, Scripting (BASH or PowerShell), APIs.




Required Skills:


  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with all levels of customers and partners
  • Clearly articulate technical capabilities and give technical demonstrations.
  • Capable and comfortable with working with a virtual team
  • Ability to develop and present security solutions strategies, meeting /exceeding customer requirements/expectations.
  • Ability to drive and lead technical discussions and be effective in customer situations comprising senior level management.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a dynamic sales environment
  • Must demonstrate both personal integrity and the ability to exercise good judgment.
  • A basic knowledge of security software and an understanding of the security lifecycle would be preferred.
