Valeo’s Site located in Bobigny (93), is Valeo’s Light Division Headquarters. It employs over  520 people working on the development of lighting systems (headlamps, rear lighting, interior lighting, etc.).

As part of a replacement, we are recruiting a Materials Discipline Manager M/F, who will be responsible for defining the discipline's roadmap in line with requirements and supporting a multicultural team of 8 engineers in achieving the objectives set out below. 

Your responsibilities:

  • Ensure the development of new advanced materials with data capitalisation

  • Ensure the creation of methodologies and tools to support developments

  • Provide materials characterisation laboratory services (skills, devices, methods, procedures)

  • Ensure the ongoing validation of materials (thermoplastics, thermosets, coatings, adhesives) in collaboration with the purchasing team, suppliers and laboratories in order to meet the needs of future projects

  • Ensure the creation of material specifications and the capitalisation of data

  • Ensuring the availability and distribution of data

  • Provide warranty and production support to resolve failure issues

  • Ensuring compliance with Environmental, Safety and Security procedures and best practices

  • Develop expertise within the network

  • Encourage the filing of patents to protect Valeo Matériaux's knowledge 

  • Provide expert community support to tender teams

 

What about you:

With at least 5 years‘ higher education (Engineer, Master's degree) in Materials Engineering, you will have at least 10 years’ professional experience, including 5 years in hierarchical team management. 

Experienced in multicultural environments, you are recognised for your adaptability, your teaching skills and your leadership. 

You know how to define and defend a strategy that is consistent with the interests of the company and its business sector. 

Your English is fluent.
