Software Engineer (Technical Support)

Location:

Canada (Remote - Atlantic, NL, East, or Central time zone only)

United States (Remote – Eastern time only)

Position Summary:

We are part of the Constellation Software. Our product Perseus Payments provides integrated payments services to businesses and software providers. We integrate with software systems to offer a streamlined payments experience.

We're seeking a dedicated Software Engineer (Technical Support) to ensure the smooth operation of our systems by identifying and resolving production issues, collaborating with various departments, and supporting technical integrations.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring system health and performance.
  • Perform root cause analysis to prevent future issues.
  • Collaborate with development, business analysts, and other IT professionals to resolve incidents.
  • Support and maintain technical integrations with other systems.
  • Create and maintain documentation for production issues, resolutions, and integration processes.
  • Respond to critical production issues.
  • Propose and implement process improvements for production support efficiency.
  • Write code to fix bugs whenever required.

Requirements:

  • Working with data in a relational database, including both querying and development against, with preference given to Microsoft’s SQL Server.
  • Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful services, including understanding the main tenets of what makes a service RESTful.
  • Proficiency in C# and .Net Core Framework.
  • Experience in Cloud-native development using Microsoft Azure.
  • Ability to create and maintain documentation for production issues, resolutions, and integration processes.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Technical Support, Software Development or a related role.

Salary Range (US Only):

The estimated base salary range for this role in the United States is $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year. For compliance with local legislation, and to provide greater transparency to applicants, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of the desired hiring location or whether the position is remote. The posted range is an estimate and reflects many factors which are subject to change. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above, based upon geographic location, candidate experience and expertise, and other relevant factors.

Other Compensation (US Only):

This role will also be eligible for participation in a Company profit sharing bonus plan. Plan details will be provided to you upon hire.

Time off (US Only):
