dbt Labs is looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Solutions Architecture to lead our Solutions Architecture team for the Northeast Enterprise region. This role will be located in the Northeastern US (with a strong preference for NY metro area). This leadership role will involve growing and leading a team of Solutions Architects, to drive revenue growth and customer success. The Director of Solutions Architecture will play a crucial role in building and maintaining strong customer relationships, ensuring technical excellence, and driving the success of our sales efforts, and will partner closely with our sales and broader Americas revenue team.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Solutions Architects
  • Promote a collaborative, customer-obsessed culture within the team
  • Partner with sales leadership to achieve regional quota targets, through value-based selling
  • Guide our GTM strategy in the region by providing insight on sales strategy, product gaps, and advocating for your team’s needs
  • Play an active role in sourcing and screening potential candidates to ensure that we maintain a high talent bar

You are a good fit if you have:

  • Live in the Northeastern US (preferably NY metro area) and are willing to work east coast hours
  • 7+ years of industry experience in a pre-sales capacity with 3+ years of direct front line management experience (recruiting, ramping, and retaining top talent)
  • Industry experience across data warehousing, analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or data science
  • Proven track record in driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets in fast-paced environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience through work experience

You'll have an edge if you have:

  • Experience managing customer relationships in both pre- and post-sales capacities
