USFS seeks a Proposal Manager and Business Development Support with 7+ years of proven business development and proposal management experience in the federal sector. We are looking for a Proposal Manager and Business Development Support who understands all facets of business development with a focus on:

5. Salesforce Pipeline Management (Lead Role)

Capture Management (Support Role as bandwidth permits)
Roles and Responsibilities;
- Apply best practices to identify and qualify opportunities in a manner that meets or exceeds goals for pipeline sufficiency and quality.
- Responsible for continuous monitoring of USFS opportunity sources including:
- GSA GWACs
- GovWin IQ
- USFS DWACs
- Sam.gov and other sources as directed
- Imports all opportunities from sources listed above into Salesforce CRM
- Leads the qualification of all opportunities in Salesforce (collaborating the VP of BD)
- Ensure all opportunities in Salesforce meet the data quality and data integrity requirements
- Manages and maintains Salesforce reports
- Finding new ways to leverage Salesforce capabilities into our current processes
- Uses best practices and AI tools to manage all aspects of proposal management
- Develop proposal calendar
- Develop proposal templates to include guidance to writers
- Writing assignments for internal staff and partners
- Schedule and manage Shipley color team meetings with internal staff and partners
- Develop new proposal content and improve existing proposal content
- Develop new proposal graphics and improve existing graphics
- Ensure proposal compliance with RFP
- Maintain proposal files on USFS SharePoint
- Maintain a proposal win rate of NLT 30%
- Assist in the development of marketing and promotional materials
- Assist in capture management
- Attend Conferences, Trade Shows, Customer events to represent USFS business interests.
- Other duties as assigned by the VP of Business Development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Located in the National Capitol Region
- Active Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain)
- U.S Citizenship required
- 5+ years of federal sector Proposal Management experience in roles and responsibilities cited above
- 3+ years of Salesforce experience
- Previous employment record demonstrating significantly long tenure at each employer
- Proven ability to build new partnerships across all business sizes
- Proven experience identifying and tracking business opportunities
- Proven proposal management success
- Outstanding verbal, writing, and inter-personal skills
- Basic knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency-specific contracting, acquisition trends and customer buying behaviors.
- Identify and target specific agencies for growth opportunities based on past performance and contract placement
- Able to analyze opportunities and solicitations and appropriately assess their value to the company, and resource requirements.
