Role overview:
New Era Technology is seeking a Network Automation Engineer to provide L1/L2 operational support for our network automation packages. The ideal candidate will have broad networking experience and a passion for automation. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation and support of automation tools that enhance our global networking capabilities.
Day-to-day activities:
In this role, you will monitor and support network automation packages, working closely with global networking teams. You will handle L1/L2 operational issues, troubleshoot problems, and collaborate with team members to optimize automation tools. Utilizing your broad networking experience across cloud, data center, and WAN environments, you will ensure that our automation solutions function seamlessly and meet operational requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide L1/L2 operational support for network automation packages.
- Monitor automation workflows and address any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with global networking teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.
- Utilize low-code automation tools to enhance operational support.
- Document operational procedures and provide training to team members.
- Assist in the deployment and scaling of automation solutions across the network.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in networking across cloud, data center, and WAN environments.
- Experience with low-code automation tools.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a global team environment.
- Familiarity with network operations and support processes.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with global networking teams.
- Operations (Ops) experience.
- Knowledge of network automation best practices.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
