Job Description

This position is remote but requires in home visits across region 7. Travel may vary, and the region covers Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri. Applicants must be from any of these states since the position is remote.

Position Summary:

 

Working under a grant from the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), the PRS Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and supervision of the intensive case management team in charge of providing Level Three (3) Post Release Services (PRS) and the Home Study (HS) Caseworkers. PRS Level 3 post release services focus on intensive in-home engagement services and works in stabilizing the family unit utilizing trauma-informed and intensive case management while connecting with community-based services to address concerns that require long-term care.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for managing their staff’s compliance with ORR’s Home Study/Post Release Services (HS/PRS) services provision.
  • Support in the assignment of HS/PRS referrals and direct case assignments, coverage of Level III areas of PRS support and Home Clinic Study services, assist in the safe deployment of staff to designated areas within the region, ensure staff completion of home studies by HS Case Workers within ORR’s designated timeframes, ensuring the completion of UC Portal and Evolv uploads in accordance with NYAP/ORR policies and procedures.
  • Support hiring and training new Case Managers.
  • Responsible for direct supervision of Case Manager (CM) Level IIIs and HS Case Workers.
  • Supervise in-home intensive PRS services for children placed in a family requiring additional support for specific challenges or special circumstances.
  • Follow all ORR policies, guidelines, and Cooperative Agreement requirements to provide PRS Level 3 services. including providing logistical support for the completion of initial in-home assessments followed by weekly in-person contacts for the first 45 to 60 days, then monthly in-person or virtual contacts for 6 months, depending on the needs of the family.
  • Effectively train and provide guidance to direct service staff on best practices.
  • Establish working relationships with community-based organizations responsible for social services.
  • Ensure support for the safe deployment of staff within designated regions.
  • Have a case management approach that assesses, plans, facilitates, and advocates for unaccompanied children and their sponsors using knowledge of social services and human services.
  • Ensures staff that are under their supervision have an effective case management approach.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in ORR policy and procedures, Flores Agreement as well as other applicable, and pertinent regulations and laws including the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (TVPRA) of 2008 et.al.
  • Reports to Regional Supervisor or Lead Case Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science in which clinical experience is a program requirement, plus at least 2 years of postgraduate direct service experience; or a bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of clinical employment experience in the behavioral science.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Have knowledge of local community social services.
  • Have specialized experience conducting home studies and working with immigrant populations.
  • Prior experience with ORR HS/PRS preferred.
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries, and C/ANs check.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time with an active motor vehicle license, reliable automobile, a good driving record, and 100/300 insurance coverage on personally owned vehicle.
  • Willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours in the service of persons served.
  • Based on Program needs employee may be required to reside in region assigned.
