Higher Education Account Manager
Position:
We are looking for an experienced Higher Education account manager to join our team to continue our growth in the UK University market.
Your role will promote retention and loyalty of our higher education customers using a variety of tools and processes, providing full Gladstone solutions to our customers. Your focus is on customer outcomes – their success is our success. You are the glue that brings everything together!
Key Responsibilities:
-Account management to our HE Customers. Maintain, develop and enhance relationships with all levels of the customer organisation from front of house to C suite.
-Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Company’s product features and application to support our customers success.
-Maintaining an awareness of industry, competitor and Higher Education sector trends
-Learn, adopt and adhere to the company sales and retention guidelines. This includes maintaining and developing the Company’s CRM database to enhance customer adoption of products , developing accurate, high quality and professional documentation and correspondence templates.
-Assist with devising and implementing retention activities and understanding customer needs to be consultative in our approach to product recommendations.
Day to Day
The role of Higher Education account manager ensures we foster strong relationships with our customers - we are the trusted partner for digital transformation.
- Meeting with HE decision makers, frontline users and IT teams to establish need and optimise product usage.
- Work across with Customer Service, Professional Service and Customer Success teams to troubleshoot and provide optimal solutions to our customers
- Develop retention strategies to ensure Gladstone is the foundation of student and member experiences
- Understanding of the technical requirements of our solution to provide insight, support and advice to the HE sector
- Monitor and engage customers to improve NPS scores for the sector, driving customer advocacy
- Attend industry trade shows as directed by the management team from time to time
- Participate in regular team meetings
Skills Required:
- Customer orientated with an ability to balance customers’ needs with commercial success
- Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of the organisation
- Presenting the Company solution without misrepresentation
- Demonstrating software solutions and associated products in person or over the internet
- Preparing and presenting quotations/proposals to sales opportunities
- Provide excellent account management to HE sector over the phone or in person
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships, alliances and networks within industry (or any other vertical market) as well as with other key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, and handle and prioritise simultaneous requests
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience optimising software solutions within the leisure and / or University (Higher Education) sector is desirable
- Hold a degree or relevant qualification is desirable
- Experience in a health and leisure operational or industry role
- Relevant professional sales training and account management experience
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to maintain customer relationships and close sales
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation communications skills
- An understanding of how software can support business improvement
- A moderate degree of computer literacy and technical competency
- Demonstrable evidence of organising customer accounts and projection implementation.
