Job description

Role Overview:

As a Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Global Payroll technology. You will manage the entire product lifecycle, from discovery to execution, and work closely with development teams, business stakeholders, and clients to ensure our product meets the highest standards. Your expertise will be key in delivering impactful, user-centered solutions that align with business goals and drive customer satisfaction.

How you will make a difference:

  • Product Discovery & Delivery: Lead product discovery, prioritize the backlog, define user stories, and ensure successful execution of product features from concept to launch.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the voice of the customer, communicating project updates and managing expectations of internal stakeholders.
  • Backlog Management: Maintain a healthy, prioritized product backlog, ensuring tickets are ready for development and aligned with roadmap priorities.
  • Sprint Planning & Execution: Collaborate with the Scrum Master to set sprint objectives, track progress, and manage any changes or adjustments with stakeholders.
  • User Feedback & Testing: Gather client feedback through interviews and surveys, conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensure new features meet business and customer needs.
  • Go-to-Market Execution: Plan and execute go-to-market strategies, including preparing internal teams and managing release communications.
  • Stakeholder Training & Support: Provide training and support to internal teams on new product features, and assist in the sales process.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze product data to identify opportunities for improvement and develop hypotheses for new features or product enhancements.
  • Metrics Ownership: Define and monitor metrics to measure product success and business impact.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to accelerate product development and improve existing products.

What will make you stand out:

  • 5-10 years of experience as a Product Owner or Manager.
  • Proven ability to create development requirements for SaaS (Software as a Service) web applications.
  • Experience with wireframing and design tools (e.g., Miro, Lucidchart, JIRA, Confluence).
  • Strong experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with Scrum frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholder expectations.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to work through complex product requirements and data.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken).

Nice to have:

  • Experience with HRIS Technology or Payroll systems.
  • Familiarity with enterprise solution integrations (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification.
  • Pragmatic Product Owner certification.
