Organization Overview

New Incentives uses a cost-effective, evidence-based approach to increase routine childhood vaccinations in northern Nigeria, a region with some of the highest child mortality rates and lowest childhood vaccination rates in the world. Working within government clinics and in conjunction with existing programs, New Incentives provides small cash incentives to caregivers after their infant has received the latest round of vaccinations while also raising awareness about vaccinations and supporting vaccine supply efforts. Job Description

New Incentives is seeking an Accountant to support the organization's Accounting and Finance Team in preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, accounting in Xero, assisting with tax return preparation and audit, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate possesses should demonstrate strong work ethics, integrity, and accountability and should have a strong sense of responsibility.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director of Finance, the Accountant will be assisting the organization’s Finance and Accounting team with the following:

  • Weekly routine accounting protocols
  • Month-end review and closing procedures
  • Data and financial analysis of accounting and operational reports
  • Regular financial reporting to different units and teams
  • Review of field expense submissions
  • Assist with data download and import into spreadsheets for financial analysis
  • Perform virtual audit of field supplies and company owned assets

  • Proficient in Google Sheet or Excel
  • Proficiency in Xero is not required but a plus
  • Solid grasp of Accounting and Finance processes

    Job Expectation
