About This Role

As a Lead Developer, you will take a leadership role in the design, development, and delivery of software solutions. You will lead a team of developers, provide technical guidance, and drive the implementation of best practices and coding standards. Your expertise in software development, architectural design, and team management will be crucial in ensuring the successful execution of projects and the delivery of high-quality software products.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Lead a team of developers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support. Drive the implementation of best practices, coding standards, and development methodologies. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.

  • Software Design and Development: Lead the design and development of software applications, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and industry best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code.

  • Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and prioritize development tasks and deliverables. Break down project requirements into manageable tasks and assign them to team members. Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure projects are delivered within timelines and budget constraints.

  • Code Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines. Identify areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback to team members. Collaborate with QA engineers to establish testing strategies and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, design specifications, and user manuals. Document code functionality, APIs, and integrations. Promote knowledge sharing within the team and ensure documentation is up to date.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers. Communicate project status, technical challenges, and solutions to stakeholders and senior management. Act as a point of contact for technical discussions and provide insights and recommendations.

  • Continuous Learning and Innovation: Stay updated with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in software development. Continuously enhance technical skills and knowledge through self-learning, training, and professional development opportunities. Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in software development processes and technologies.

What You Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • Proven experience as a developer, with a track record of leading software development projects.

  • Strong expertise in software development using relevant programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python, JavaScript) and frameworks.

  • In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, design patterns, and architectural principles.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Agile, Scrum).

  • Strong understanding of web development technologies, databases, and APIs.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

  • Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with code versioning tools (e.g., Git, SVN) and CI/CD practices is desirable.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.

  • Professional certifications in relevant technologies or project management are advantageous.
