Software Test Engineer- (REMOTE)

An exciting opportunity awaits as we seek a qualified Software Test Engineer to join our team. Please refer to the detailed job description provided below. This position offers full-time employment and the possibility of remote work, with the prerequisite that candidates are based within Canada.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related field preferred
• Exposure to GIS and/or use of geospatial data.
• Experience working with water system modelling.
• Experience managing complex projects and working with software development teams.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of industry experience working in a fast-paced agile scrum development environment and working on high-performance, high-availability, distributed systems.
• Experience working with engineering software.
• Detailed knowledge of software testing principles & best practices.
• In-depth knowledge using OpenText (Micro Focus) Unified Functional Testing (UFT) or similar automation applications to develop and execute automated test scripts for desktop products.
• Excellent communication and verbal skills required to interact with end users and to define problems and propose resolutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to perform root cause analysis of defects in complex software components and services.
