Position Title: Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Professional
Contract Type: Full-Time, Remote Contract

Position Description:

Pacifica Continental has been retained by a global leader to find a skilled Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) professional for a full-time, remote contract position. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to high-impact sustainability projects, working with one of the world’s most influential organizations. You will help translate operational and supply chain data into detailed LCA models, supporting the company's sustainability goals and identifying opportunities to reduce environmental impacts. The role is remote, offering flexibility, and involves collaborating with cross-functional teams from finance, data science, and software development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct life cycle assessments (LCA) for sustainability projects across various industries.
  • Analyze operational and supply chain data, transforming it into actionable LCA models.
  • Work closely with diverse teams to drive and implement sustainability initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant LCA standards and methodologies, delivering high-quality results.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or PhD in industrial ecology, environmental engineering, or a sustainability-related field. A Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience will also be considered.
  • Expertise in computational LCA, including co-product allocation, data normalization, and impact computations.
  • Proven experience in life cycle inventory development and data collection methods.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14040, 14044, and ILCD standards.
  • Strong experience with LCA impact assessment methods, including spatially explicit models.
  • Experience in electronics, textile/fashion, or agricultural supply chains is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Nice to Have:

  • Project management experience or training.
  • Experience with hybrid LCA models.
  • Knowledge of life cycle inventory database development and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with GIS and spatial analytics.
  • Programming experience (R, Python, SQL).
  • Data visualization skills (e.g., PowerBI).
