Job Title: Math Competition Teaching Assistant

Job type: Part-Time 20-30 hours/week

Location: Remote

Intended Start Date: December 2024

Your Role:

Think Academy U.S. is looking for Part-Time Remote Teaching Assistant for our Elementary School math competition level courses. Teaching Assistants are expected to understand math concepts, and provide in-class and after class assistant through designated platforms, that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential and develop profound problem solving skills. 

As a Remote Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities include:

  • Partner with class instructor to provide assistance to students during online class
  • Actively engage and manage a class size of 28 students
  • Communicate well with students and parents to provide timely and customized feedbacks
  • Homework grading, as well as homework Q&A
  • Usually 20-30 hours per week, mostly during weekends or weekday afternoons

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, all majors are welcome as long as you're passionate in kids and math teaching; Education, or STEM-related majors are preferred
    • You are still eligible to apply if you are still pursuing or in progress of obtaining a Bachelor's degree
  • Prior math teaching experiences is not required, but a big plus
  • Super passionate about teaching and education industry, with a mission to provide better education to promote social development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly responsible and love to get along with kids
  • Can commit to at least one whole semester teaching (Spring: Jan - May; Summer: June - Aug; Fall: Aug - Dec)
  • Available and willing to work during weekday evenings and weekends

Pay & Benefits:

  • $16-$20/hr + performance based commission
  • Opportunity to promote to primary content teacher after 1 semester
