The Business Development Manager (Melbourne South/E, plus TAS or ACT will form part of the territory) is mainly responsible for driving Alcon revenues in Optical stores by partnering with key decision makers (Business owners, Store Managers, Eye Care Practitioners). BDM promotes Alcon portfolio from clinical and commercial perspectives and establishes strategic relationships to increase CL penetration in the practice, positioning Alcon as the global market leader. BDM also delivers commercial solutions by leveraging the tools provided by the organization.
- Increase sales obtaining annual territory sales objectives by selling Alcon’s vision care portfolio of products, promoting Alcon Services, offering approved price discounts through in-market promotions, and by consulting with Eye Care Practitioners to improve the profitability of their practices.
- Grow sales by shifting customer behaviors to dispense Alcon priority products as their core/first-choice product line.
- Agrees and executes interaction plans for customers, targeting the right person with right message/content and right frequency.
- Participate in and network with customers at conventions, educational events, etc. as required.
- Seeks ways to improve patient experience and satisfaction (e.g. direct CL delivery).
- Administrative responsibilities: including completion of expense reports, email/voicemail communications, call reporting, event planning and strategic planning. Allocates resources effectively (i.e. sampling, marketing material, etc.).
- Works effectively with other Alcon stakeholders and with resources in Sales and across other functions (e.g., KAM, Marketing, etc.) to achieve sales targets.
- Provides Alcon stakeholders and other colleagues with insight and feedback gained from customer interactions.
- Works within Integrity and Compliance policies and all company policies and ensures those around him/her do the same.
- Presents a positive attitude and leadership skills to foster a high performing culture.
- Actively participates in all team meetings, conference calls, trainings, sales meetings.
Education: Tertiary level education preferable
Skills/Experience:
Minimum: A minimum of 3 years' experience in sales with a demonstrated
drive for achieving results
HealthCare industry Sales background preferred
