POSITION SUMMARY

The Key Accounts Manager is responsible for partnership development, revenue generation, marketing execution, internal collaboration, and strategic projects that are across the assigned key accounts for travel trade. This position requires working independently to proactively grow tour sales within assigned agency partners. This position requires a data-driven focus, conference and events attendance, and additional trade support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for revenue generations, achieving annual sales targets and marketing strategies with Vice President of National   Accounts across assigned accounts.
  • Negotiate yearly account goals and objectives based on contractual obligation and account performance for future year and monitor sales figures regularly by sending monthly reporting.
  • Manage all aspects of account, which is not limited to developing sales growth strategies, developing and executing marketing plans, managing account budget, and maximizing ad-hoc opportunities for each assigned account
  • Responsible for being a solutions-first team member when escalated reservations issue arise, account challenges, post-travel service issues, and within project management.
  • Collaborate with Partner Marketing team to manage account budgets, marketing funds, incentive programs, meet key deadlines, project follow-up, and promotional offers for the assigned accounts. 
  • Provide consistent monthly updates to key contacts as well as reporting and consultative selling techniques to better engage accounts and keep accounts up-to-date on sales progress.
  • Consult with the sales team on execution of account strategies to ensure that the activities directed to or inclusive of agencies, advisors and ICs in each territory are supported, and provide guidance   to develop a strategy within their territory to better engage and grow their account territory business. 
  • Develop new business strategies through consultative sales process within assigned accounts. 
  • Partner with sales managers to execute strategies and activities to increase account relationships & sales growth.
  • Responsible for monitoring account data and thinking of new ways to utilize and manage how we communicate to our partners. Take the lead in development of new functionality, along with the Salesforce team and TTC, as it pertains to identifying, developing, and growing the sales and the improved functionality and utilization of Salesforce. 
  • Assist in the development of new resources for key accounts to grow overall sales. Consistently ensuring we are engaging new advisors in a creative and informative way.
  • Create a formidable reputation in the industry by attending account events and conferences, perform effective & persuasive   presentations, and representing TTC Tour Brands to the best of your ability. 
  • Evaluate industry technology, trends and tools to incorporate distinctive interaction opportunities with accounts. 
  • Support Vice President of National Accounts by monitoring, expanding and driving key account sales through consultative sales process, follow up on opportunities, and address challenges and concerns.
  • Act as a liaison between external account partners with TTC internal departments from sales, marketing, accounting, partner services and reservations departments. 
  • Communicate and educate the account’s policies, strategies, incentives, promotions to our internal teams to ensure that we provide effective service and sales support specific to each account. 
  • Ensure communication is consistent to all stakeholders: SMs, marketing, inside sales support and call center staff. 
  • Travel up to 50% within assigned accounts as needed.


Experience and Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of experience in travel sales, with a background in managing large, multi-branch accounts.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with sales and marketing management teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent communication abilities, both with staff and managers.
  • Skilled negotiator with experience managing budgets, sales, and marketing plans for accounts.
  • Results-driven self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, with a talent for managing multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines and staying within budget.
  • Proven ability to consistently meet and exceed sales targets; highly skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM systems (Salesforce), and PowerBI.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with staff at all levels; strong presentation abilities.
  • Flexibility to attend evening functions as needed; frequent interstate and international travel required, with travel commitments up to 50%.
  • Confident and dynamic speaker, with expertise in delivering engaging presentations and proficient in using PowerPoint and webinar platforms.
