The primary role of the Business Operations Training Specialist (BOT) is to learn and train the field on corporate initiatives established by the RSC Executive Committee. These initiatives include acquisition employee training, organic new hire training and business as usual changes to RSC corporate processes.
The focus of training is on efficiency, utilization of automation, connecting the field to corporate partners, E&O mitigation enabled by SOPs and auditing functions.
YOUR IMPACT:
- Work closely with assigned Regional Leadership and Business Unit Leadership (CL, EB, PCS)
- Ensure that the processes and procedures are trained as designed but should escalate issues that are discovered in the field to help shape the SOPs if needed
- Help to solve issues and communicate back to the interested Stakeholders
- Deep understanding of how Agency Management Systems work; Ability to learn and train on a range of systems, business units and SOPs
- Drive advanced and efficient use of systems and technology
- Well versed in the understanding of how the broker side of the Insurance Industry operates
- Support of functions such as Accounting, Claims, Certificates or Centers of Excellence
- Understanding of adult learning with ability to differentiate when it’s appropriate to use different modes of training
- Flexibility in training in-person, remote, training and preparing training documentation as well as post training support and questions
- Provide support in identifying any need for streamlined processes to enhance operational efficiency and productivity
- Establishes and promotes consistent workflows, use of automation, & business processes
- Understanding of the 3rd Party vendor process and utilization of required tasks
- Work directly with any employee needing training on Agency Management Systems or procedures
- Follow escalation process to assist in improvement of processes and procedures
- Train on the RSC Compliance points of compliance including data integrity standards
- Work with counterparts from other regions to create a cohesive and collaborative training team
- Understand national processes and procedures to be implemented consistently in each region
- Participate as active member of the National Bus Ops Training team
- Establish relationships with the leadership of newly acquired entities and assist in onboarding
- Work with Human Resources to understand Acquisition and New Hire timelines as well as unique circumstances that will help with the onboarding and training of new employees
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:
- In depth knowledge of agency management system functionality and workflow procedures – AMS360 and/or Epic, Worksmart preferred with a deep understanding of how Agency Management Systems work
- Proven track record of involvement in adult learning
- 5+ Experience in a Commercial Lines or Personal Lines Service role
- Above average computer skills (Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Basic coverage knowledge of Property & Casualty business
- Strong presentation skills
- Imagination and the ability to hold the attention of audience members
- Diplomacy, tact, and poise under pressure
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in teams and exhibits objectivity and openness to others’ views

The expected base pay range for this position is between $80,000.00 - $100,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
