You will be working with creative researchers and engineers who move as one team to solve the problems that matter.

What you'll be doing:

  • Identify key questions for guiding product and applications at the intersection of generative AI, language models, gaming and video conferencing.

  • Further develop the questions through iterative experimentation and prototyping, and guide our products with answers grounded in real-world problems.

  • Collaborate with researchers and product innovators inside and outside NVIDIA.

  • Publish original research and present at conferences and events.

What we need to see:

  • A Ph.D. degree or equivalent experience and 2+ years of relevant research experience in Computer Science, Human-Computer/Robot Interaction, Vision Science, Neuroscience, Psychophysics or related fields.

  • Knows theory and practice in organizing and analyzing large-scale time-series behavior data of humans, AI, and the interactions thereof.

  • Highly skilled in training and evaluating large language models or generative models with other modalities such as vision or action.

  • Proficient in programming, preferably in Python (PyTorch, Lightning, HuggingFace) and/or C++.

  • Willing to tackle low-level and infrastructure problems. Proactive mentality in solving infrastructural problems encountered during research.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and cross-functional experience working on interdisciplinary teams.

  • Track record of research excellence or significant product development.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Knowledgeable and skilled in playing, designing, or evaluating player experience of games.

  • Adept with multi-node, multi-GPU compute systems.

  • Proficient in modern software development and source-control systems, like git.

  • Expertise in designing, implementing, and performing behavioral experiments involving human subjects and interactive visual stimuli.

  • Solid knowledge and skills of quantitatively modeling human perception, movement, and decision-making.

  • Have trained yourself and/or others to improve skill level in esports, traditional sports, music, or any field requiring systematic training.
