Sales & Propositions Manager – 105575

Base Location: Leeds/Manchester plus network of 20 offices nationally:

KPMG Managed Services provide an innovative and cost-effective solution to the delivery of large-scale review and/or processing activity across multiple industries, geographies and processes. The Managed Services operation is experienced in, but not limited to, remediation, complaint handling, claims processing, service delivery and conduct risk reviews. Managed Services Revenue targets are in excess of £20M pa and UK Operations is the principal delivery arm and driver of this revenue

The Sales and Propositions Manager is responsible for helping to drive the Managed Services business forward through leading on sales and marketing activities. You will work with the wider sales and operational Managed Services teams to deliver proposals, and you must be able to work independently to develop and implement the marketing strategy and oversee end to end campaigns and events in order to continue to raise the profile of Managed Services.

You’ll need to be a strong negotiator, influencer and team player, used to managing multiple stakeholders in demanding time-critical situations.

What will you be doing?

  • Responsible for supporting the Senior Leadership Team in the development of the Managed Services brand both internally and externally
  • Lead the design and implementation of the Managed Services marketing strategy in line with its strategic objectives
  • Create innovative end-to-end marketing campaign to support partner activity including developing cutting-edge research, market-leading content and original business events
  • Build professional relationships with internal and external customers, ensuring sales opportunities are maximised and enhancing KPMG’s reputation as an advisor of choice
  • Manage projects and/or team resources as appropriate
  • Contribute to the success of Managed Services sales team achieving their annual sales target
  • Provide visibility of sales pipeline by ensuring MSD pipeline management systems are kept up to date
  • Responsible for coordination and management of external and internal events to promote Managed Services
  • Coordinate UK roll out of global Managed Services sales and marketing campaigns and working closely with KPMG Global MS and their marketing teams
  • Content production – developing and delivering on-budget project plans, project managing production process with external and internal agencies
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications
  • Take lead on specific sales activity. Work collaboratively with the Senior Management Team throughout the bidding and pitching process
  • Researching and analysing the latest market, competitor and client data
  • Proposition development – developing compelling and commercially effective client propositions
  • Understand the wider offerings of the firm and gain a good understanding of broader sector / client trends, issues, needs, and potential applicability / relevance to Managed Services


What will you need to do it?

  • BA university degree or equivalent
  • Proven experience in: Events organisation, Online marketing, Coordination activities
  • Proven track record in sales or in a client-facing professional role
  • Highly proficient in all MS Office packages with knowledge of CRM systems
  • Good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of services, and relevant content across a firm, in order to create a fully multi-disciplinary approach


Skills we’d love to see/Amazing Extras:

  • Professional marketing qualification (CIM)
  • Previous experience of marketing in a professional services organisation
  • Understanding of professional services markets an advantage.
  • Preferred background of the financial services industry
