Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to process pharmacovigilance data from various sources including ARGUS, complaint systems, and other safety systems
  • Implement data integration and ETL processes using Databricks to ensure seamless data flow and accessibility
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and pharmacovigilance experts to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security by implementing best practices and monitoring systems
  • Optimize data workflows and storage solutions to improve efficiency and performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and provide technical support to stakeholders
Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong proficiency in Databricks and experience with ETL processes and data integration
  • Familiarity with pharmacovigilance data and safety systems such as ARGUS
  • Proficient in SQL and other database management systems
  • Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • Certification in Databricks or related technologies
  • Experience with additional data tools and programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala
