Overview:

 

Now hiring IT Operations Systems Analyst!

 

The IT Operations Systems Analyst (Expert level) will be responsible for the operational triage & support of back-end transactional systems and data integrations. 

 

This role will be accountable for break/fix operational support as well as new development & enhancements with limited supervision.  The analyst will handle all phases of the software lifecycle with an emphasis on technical skillsets including Java & PLSQL design, development, & performance tuning.

 

Triages complex problems by analyzing the system and running SQL queries.  Communicates incident status and resolution with impacted users.  Analyzes and defines requirements for minor enhancements based on user needs.  Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written.  Documents existing system logic and process flows. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis activities.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 6+ years of experience with Oracle, SQL, & PL/SQL for running queries, data research, and production support
  • Experience with ETL processes using data hubs and Operational Data Store (ODS)
  • Experience in leading multiple IT projects by working with other IT Teams and business stakeholders.
  • Health plan knowledge with emphasis on claims operations, financial reconciliation, & provider networks
  • Preferred Experience in Healthrules Payor or similar Healthcare Payor Systems.
  • Experience with JSON, CSV, and EDI transaction standards
  • Experience with production operations support

 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in related technical/business area plus 6 years of IT or business experience. 6 years of additional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree

 

Responsibilities:
  • Provides expert support for definition/refinement of business requirements and for quality assurance/acceptance testing efforts
  • Designs, develops, tests and debugs software components of high complexity
  • Provides implementation, production and upgrade support for software components of high complexity
  • May act as supporting liaison between the application team and the user community, responsible for facilitating communications, coordinating system enhancements, and providing production support.
  • Works with user community to define business requirements in sufficient detail and define business use cases that systems configuration, development/enhancement, and/or Operations activities can be pursued.
  • Oversees the development of user and technical documentation according to department standards.
