 IT Concepts is looking for an experienced Security Operations Administrator to support our VA-ESOM- End Point Support and Operations Monitoring contract across the United States. As a Security Operations Administrator, you will play a critical role in coordinating and executing security- and suitability-related program operations. You will work closely with program managers, government officials, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective program execution, compliance with security protocols, and adherence to established policies and procedures. Your responsibilities will include managing documentation, coordinating activities, monitoring compliance, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the program. The ideal candidate possesses a strong blend of project management skills, analytical thinking, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a strong attention to detail. 

Success in this position as a Security Operations Administrator consists of: 

  • Minimizing mistakes in identifying and communicating errors to New Hires regarding their security paperwork 
  • Ensuring a smooth onboarding process for New Hires 
  • Ability to pick up on new processes in a timely manner 
  • Ability to identify areas for improvements and recommend solutions 

Responsibilities

  • Security Clearance Management: Oversee and maintain security clearance processes and protocols, including managing sensitive personnel security clearance paperwork, coordinating with government agencies for clearance requests, and monitoring compliance with security regulations and requirements.  
  • Coordination and Communication: Facilitate communication and coordination among program stakeholders, including government officials, team members, subcontractors, and other parties. Schedule tasks and organize meetings as necessary. Maintain effective communication channels to ensure smooth program operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements, drive efficiency and growth, and optimize toward company goals. 
  • Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, documentation, and databases related to program activities, including sensitive data. Ensure proper handling, storage, and dissemination of sensitive and classified information in accordance with security protocols. Maintain SharePoint and other ITC/client sites with appropriate documents and information.  
  • Program Operations Support: Provide comprehensive operational support through Security and Suitability Clearance processes including managing documentation, maintaining files, preparing reports, and coordinating operational activities. Assist with developing and maintaining operational procedures, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistent and high-quality execution. 
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Gather and analyze data to generate insights into project and operational performance, identifying trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement. Develop detailed reports to provide stakeholders with clear visibility into project and operational metrics. Create ad hoc reports and analyses to support decision-making processes.

Location: This is a 100% remote position that can be performed within the United States. EST working hours. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Operations Management, Information Technology or a related field. 
  • 3+ years of experience relevant to the job description, ideally in a security coordinator or operations support position 
  • Knowledge of government contracting, security regulations, and compliance requirements  
  • Experience coordinating highly complex program operations 
  • Experience managing detailed processes involving multiple stakeholders 
  • Experience facilitating communication amongst multiple stakeholders 
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping and documentation. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets. 
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in all tasks. 
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and a willingness to take initiative to drive continuous improvement. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software and tools. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience working with sensitive documentation containing PII, preferably with Clearances and Suitability processes 
  • Strong interpersonal relationship-building skills; customer service experience  
  • Prior experience with data analysis and/or data visualization techniques  

Clearance requirements:  

  • US Citizen or Green Card Holder
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Tier 4.
