Position Summary:

ultraimpact – Make a difference for those who need it most

NELs are clinically trained professionals dedicated to supporting clinical staff education whose  expertise encompasses all aspects of Ultragenyx portfolio therapies across all therapeutic divisions.

As a Nursing Education Liaison (NEL), you will collaborate cross-functionally with both internal and external stakeholders. The NEL will educate a multidisciplinary clinic team within accounts and sites of care to include but not limited to; HCP’s, NP’s, PA’s, RN/LPN’s, Genetic Counselors, Registered Dieticians, Medical Assistants, Pharmacists, Ancillary Clinical Staff, and KOL’s to ensure company strategies are executed.

The territory will cover the following states: IA, IL, IN, KY, MI, MN, OH and WI 
Work Model: 

Field: Officially documented as working as a member of the Ultragenyx field team, generally interacting with third parties on behalf of Ultragenyx. 

 

Responsibilities:
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders to include but not limited to, commercial sales, commercial training, marketing, medical affairs, and patient support services.
  • Engage with Clinics, IEM’s, Academic Institutions and Hospitals to educate on disease and treatment.
  • Engage with Sites of Care, Specialty Pharmacies, Home Health Agencies, and Outpatient Infusion Suite clinical staff on the delivery of specific therapies and related clinical content.
  • Develop strong relationships with identified KOL’s to increase disease awareness and treatment options
  • Increase access and awareness at National/Regional/Local conventions & societies 6. Schedule and attend educational programs with identified institutions and societies.
  • Expand the NEL’s access to centers of excellence, and underpenetrated accounts
  • Implement messaging campaigns to expanded specialty markets as needed
  • Coordinate strategy and execution of initiatives with internal commercial partners.
  • Provide clinical best practice education utilizing marketing resources in targeted clinics, and accounts.
Requirements:
  • RN/MSN/NP/APRN or Allied Health Degree (RD, PT)
  • 5 years + clinical practice in relative field
  • 3 years + in one or more of the following areas: field sales, account management, marketing, thought leader engagement, case management or nurse educator within Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry preferred
  • Prior experience and or relationships within Genetic/Metabolic field preferred
  • Experience in relationship building in institutional and community environments
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to adapt to change and react in a fast-paced environment, and able to work well within a team
  • Discuss and present complex scientific information confidently to small and large groups
  • Must work in a compliant manner consistent with the company’s policies and procedures and will help maintain a culture of compliance, integrity, and transparency.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, within a large geographical territory.
  • Must be familiar with the relevant legal and regulatory components of the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, rare disease experience a plus #LI-Remote

The typical annual salary range for this full-time position is listed below. This range reflects the characteristics of the job, such as required skills and qualifications and is based on the office location noted in this job posting. The range may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.


This position is eligible for annual bonus and equity incentives. Actual individual pay is determined by demonstrated experience and internal equity alignment.

Pay Range
$149,300$184,500 USD
