Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Technical Sales Specialist to join our team, focusing on our Cloud Vision, DC Switches (Spine and Leaf Architecture), or Arista EOS solutions. In this role, you will serve as a critical liaison between our field sales teams and our technical offerings, driving competitive analysis, educating staff, and ensuring the successful positioning of our networking solutions in a competitive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth feature analysis to identify Cisco solution strengths against competitors, clearly articulating these advantages to field sales teams.
  • Solution Positioning: Identify and position Cisco and/or OEM networking solutions, establishing a compelling value proposition tailored to client needs.
  • Education and Training: Educate field sales staff on the technical capabilities and features of proposed Cisco solutions and products, ensuring they are well-equipped to engage clients effectively.
  • Bill of Materials Creation: Develop a thorough understanding of complementary SKUs to create accurate Bills of Material (BOM/BOQ) and present these to the sales organization.
  • Technical Competency Development: Enhance overall technical and communication skills within the team to provide robust pre-sales technical support to the field sales organization.
  • Building Relationships: Work collaboratively with Cisco Sales Account Teams, Partner Solutions Specialists (PSS), and channel partners to meet business goals and objectives.
  • Enablement and Knowledge Transfer: Deliver effective off-site enablement and knowledge transfer sessions to drive product awareness and increase adoption rates among sales teams.
  • Collaboration Across Teams: Collaborate with various functions to ensure that sales teams are adequately equipped to position and defend Cisco solutions in client discussions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and present key performance indicators (KPIs) and statistical data regarding sales performance, including Win/Loss analysis and revenue, as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years in a technical sales or pre-sales role, preferably in networking solutions.
    • Familiarity with Cisco Cloud Vision, DC Switches (Spine and Leaf Architecture), or Arista EOS.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
    • Ability to build and maintain influential relationships.
    • Proficiency in creating technical documentation and presentations.
