Background

Want to revolutionize the future of education and do meaningful work that transforms future generations’ lives?

Crimson Education is a Series C, global EdTech startup founded in 2013 with the idea that through personalized education and technology, we can transform students into the world leaders of tomorrow. We’re now in 28 markets and have an ambitious team of 700 that’s rapidly expanding across the globe. Our tech platform connects 3000 tutors/mentors to students aiming to achieve admission and scholarships to top universities or their dream career pathway.

Overview of the role

We are looking for a UX-focused Product Designer to lead a pivotal project to reimagine and improve customer journeys on our website, including the home, services, and navigation pages along with new content libraries. This role involves both strategic planning and hands-on design, requiring a candidate who excels at customer journey mapping, user flow wireframing, and conducting research to identify and address user needs. You will play a critical role in shaping user experiences that speak to parents and students alike, helping us redefine our digital presence in the education space.

What are the main responsibilities for this role?

  • Customer Journey Mapping: Utilise market feedback, website analytics, heatmaps, and personas to identify and design an improved customer journey for key pages (home, services, and navigation). Map out user flows and build actionable journey maps.
  • UX Research: Conduct user research to gain insights into behavior, pain points, and decision drivers, leveraging this information to design solutions that resonate with our audiences.
  • Wireframing & Prototyping: Create detailed wireframes, user flows, and prototypes that effectively communicate design ideas to be handed off to a junior designer.
  • Visual & Interaction Design: Develop high-fidelity designs that are visually appealing, functional, and aligned with our brand.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Lead discovery sessions with key marketing stakeholders to uncover user values and translate findings into design improvements. Act as a bridge between departments to ensure alignment and feasibility.
  • Usability Testing: Plan and conduct usability tests, analyse findings, and iterate designs to address feedback and improve user satisfaction.
  • Design System Management: Maintain and evolve our design system for consistency across the website, ensuring scalability and brand alignment.

What skills and experience are required?

  • Experience: 3+ years in Product Design, UI/UX Design, or a similar role with a focus on UX and customer journey mapping.
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing your design process, problem-solving skills, and customer-centric approach.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Figma and other relevant design tools.
    • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices, especially mobile-first design.
  • Research & Mapping Expertise: Experience with customer journey mapping, user flow development, and UX research.
  • Visual & Interaction Design: Strong visual design skills with a keen eye for typography, color, layout, and detail.

Soft Skills

  • Communication: Excellent ability to articulate design rationale and present ideas to cross-functional teams.
  • Project Management: Skilled at managing multiple projects and prioritising tasks effectively.
  • Analytical Mindset: Comfortable interpreting data and feedback to inform design decisions.

Preferred timezones:
