As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Senior Manager, Benefits to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will create and manage national benefits programs that align with our company's goals and values. You will also ensure our employee benefits programs are competitive, cost-effective, and support the well-being of our employees.

This role is based at Burnaby or Toronto North York head offices (on-site position).

Please note:  Since 123Dentist is a national, Canadian company, candidates who are bilingual in French and English will be given preference

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage national benefits programs to support employee wellness, retention, and engagement.
  • Regularly review market trends to ensure our benefits offerings stay competitive.
  • Work with senior leaders to recommend improvements or additions to benefits programs.
  • Collaborate with HR, finance, and other teams to ensure smooth implementation of benefits.
  • Manage relationships with benefits providers to ensure great service and performance.
  • Oversee the benefits enrollment and training for newly acquired dental practices.
  • Communicate benefits information clearly to employees at all levels.
  • Negotiate contracts and renewals to get the best value while maintaining quality.
  • Ensure compliance with local and national regulations related to benefits.
  • Maintain accurate records and oversee billing and forecasting in collaboration with finance.
  • Help streamline benefits processes as part of our HR system implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCP, CPHR, SHRM-SCP, SPHR or PHR).
  • 5+ years of experience in Total Rewards, with at least 3 years in leadership roles.
  • Experience in the dental or healthcare industry is a plus.
  • Bilingual in French and English preferred.

  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and drive program improvements.
  • Experience in benefits administration and vendor management.
  • Ability to manage projects and collaborate with various teams.
