About the Position: 

Epic Government Staffing is looking for a Capture Manager who will be responsible for researching, identifying, and qualifying federal business opportunities aligned with corporate capabilities, customer targets, and competitive environment. The role is responsible for assessing opportunities, meeting with clients, building key relationships, and developing winning bid strategies, including capture plans, pricing, teaming, and proposal strategy.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Identify and win executable business for Government clients through expertise in the business development life cycle, from opportunity qualification to strategic capture and proposal development. 

  • Leverage senior-level leadership and community relationships within VA, DHA, and other healthcare organizations to secure client meetings, gather opportunity intelligence, influence solicitations, and position Epic as the preferred contractor. 

  • Coordinate and drive all phases of capture activities, supporting Line Managers with win strategy and theme development, competitive assessments, pricing strategy, call plan execution, and capture activity timelines to improve win probability. 

  • Lead capture for complex and technical bids, including understanding client requirements, developing technical solutions, and assembling a winning team. 

  • Conduct market-based competitive intelligence, client assessments, and strategic planning to expand client-based opportunity portfolios and pipelines. 

  • Manage key stakeholder relationships, keep leadership informed, and engage in strategic partnerships with clients and industry partners. 

 

What You’ll Bring: 

  • Three years of business development/capture management experience, with at least two years capturing healthcare services/staffing opportunities at VA, DHA, DHHS, and other Federal, State, and Local healthcare organizations. 

  • Bachelor's degree. Each additional two years of experience can substitute for one year of education. 

  • Possess an overall knowledge of business functions and understanding of services, business strategy, policies and procedures, and job’s impact to the organization. 

  • Work independently, see business needs and proactively accomplish them for the betterment of their team and the organization.  

  • Analyze work, set goals, develop plans of action, utilize time.  

  • Attend to the needs and expectations of customers. 

  • Affect or change others' positions and opinions. 

  • Reach mutually satisfying agreements and compromises. 

  • Present self as a positive representative of the organization.  

  • Establish rapport and maintain mutually productive relationships. 

  • Engage effectively in dialogue. 

Salary:  $80,000 Annually

The starting salary offer will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position may also be eligible to participate in a company incentive plan and/or commission plan.
