About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Automation Developer II to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the highest quality of our software products. This role requires a deep understanding of testing frameworks, automation tools, and best practices in software testing.
What you'll do here:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including java developers, product owners, IT business analysts, and other test automation developers, to define test requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues to resolution.
- Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the testing process.
- Perform code reviews and provide mentorship to junior test automation engineers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in test automation tools and techniques.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Analyze test results, generate test reports, and provide insights to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with best practices and standards in software testing and quality assurance.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in test automation development.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
- Strong experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous.
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
